You guys are killin' me...any chance of a bassboy mercy minibux on a Sunday when it starts to cool off and the jetskies go away???



Sorry I haven't been active on the Florida page..just not doin' much fishin' or braggin' lately. I do have a bank spot 5 minutes from the house where I've been able to scratch my fishin' itch, but it just ain't the minibux, yanno??

I try to fish around the wife's schedule and lately she seems to have most fridays off so I'm just gonna go out to the Stick Marsh tomorrow and drown some shiners all by me lonesome. Open seat to anyone interested. I don't need gas money ($10 fills the Bobbers tank..LOL) but shiner money is accepted...

Well, let's ee, ummmm, it sure was a nice drive out there at 4:30, and ummm, the Bobber was running great, oh, and all of my shiners stayed alive a real long time, even with the warm water. Then winds picked up and I've had smoother rides on the Gulf of Mexico on a Jet Ski. Waves were breaking so high that the stumps the were easily seen when it was calm at first light were barely visible and if you've ever been out there you know how bad a thing that can be.The Shiners stayed alive so long that they started lifting the lid of the baitbucket and asking if they were there yet and could they go next. At one point it got so slow the shiners started taking turns hopping out of the baitbucket and going to the back of the boat for a cigarette while they waited for their turn. Did catch my first Mudfish on a horny Toad, about 3.5 pounds according to my rinkydink scale. Caught two others on the shiners and one gar. The Bobber remains Bass free since July, then again so do I. Maybe I'm the key to breaking Dell's mini bux winning streak, put me in his boat next mini

Ah well, least ya made it back safe!! That place is spooky in a regular size boat on a calm day, so it must of been hellish in a small one with wind.. Also not as easy to find the fish as it sounds in the posts huh? We found that out.. I'd go back, but not w/o a guide who knows the place!

You ain't lying there, I saw one with a head so big it could have been one of those a waveboard you see kids throw down and jump on in the surf. Like almost everything else out there that day, they didn't even want my shiners. Luckily, no interest in me at all.
