Important note about Seminole GPS maps..

To my knowledge there is no detailed GPS map being produced by any of the
major map card makers such as Garmin and Navionics..I know with my current Navionic's SD cards I have to disable them and let my Humminbird 987si world map take over so that I get a good out line map of the lake. However with just the outline you get no detail and no depth contours..worse of all you also get no navigational aids to mark the major channels.
I suggest that everyone try and get themselves an Atlantic Mapping map of the lake ahead of time so they can study the lake's details. I wouldn't wait until the day I showed up to try and start totally blind..

Victor speaks the truth guys...the base map in my 332-C shows me being on dry land a half mile from the lake a lot of the time even with a good strong WAAS signal.

I've got an Atlantic Map and a Kingfisher Map and both are pretty good. Each one shows a few features the other doesn't.

Wingates did have the Atlantic Maps version for sale. I looked for both versions online and Kingfisher seems to have a better selection but is a little more expensive

BTW...Kingfisher eats your lunch on shipping charges but shipping is free on orders over $30. If 3 or 4 of you mini bucks teams can get together and place a $30.00 order you can save some $$$$.

I cant believe the Navionics chips dont have Seminole on them.. I filled out a "dont see your favorite lake" card on their site and submitted it.. Maybe if enough people ask about it they'll add it to a future version.. Navionics Add a lake

As for the Navionics Maps..I wouldn't look for one anytime soon for Seminole..The problem is the Navionics crew can't get their surveying boats into most areas of the lake due to all the standing timber on the lake..Until the come with a system where they can shot the lake survey with an aircraft mounted system we most likely will be out of luck. Texas has had the same problem with a couple of their major lakes also..

A note on the paper maps..I've used both the Atlantic and the other map that Neil mentioned..I will be the first to tell you that it has been my experience that the Atlantic Maps have more detail and are much more accurate than all the others. They are also water and tear proof..Of all the lakes I fish the only maps I will use are the Atlantic Maps. They have always been right on the mark everywhere I've been..
