    What raingear are you wearing?

Guys, I've been having the same raingear that my parents bought me back in 2004. By all means they still keep me dry, besides when i sit in pooled water on my seat, but they don't repel water anymore and they get damp.

I've researched some jackets and I like the look of simms challenger, but too many negative reviews about the zippers not working. I'd like to stay around $400 and less for jacket and bibs, what do you guys recommend? I'm not looking for any provided warmth, just shell and regular bibs as I plan on wearing this year round.

Picked up a set of Frabil F3 last year for $135 set. Couldn't pass up that deal

I have had bass pro 100mph good stuff, cabelas guide wear good stuff might be the best all around rain suite I have had, frog toggs they are good for summer but that's it, HUK Kryptek all weather absolute JUNK retuned the first set because of leaks second set leaked worse sold on craigslist, and currently my favorite but also the most expnsive GILL OS2, only problem I have with them is in the heat of the summer they are too hot so I use my cheap frog togs then.

I have 2 sets of Guidewear, one lighter set and one heavy with thinsulate. Got them both back in the early 2000's and still going strong.

I have a set of Artic Armor for the bitter cold, also a set of GuideWear Gore-Tex for heavy duty everyday wear and a light weight packable set for summer days.

Gill, zero complaints, will buy it again if needed. I’m sure others in this price range are great also.

If You're thinking of the Spring rains of Louisiana, I'd recommend any rain gear made for Golf; these mentioned would probably be too heavy-duty

Several on my current 100mph suit. Had several years on my pro qualifier too. Both good suits.

Looking at where you live and your budgeted amount I would suggest you look at the Simms Challenger suit. They run sales on the Simms site and also some dealers will have good prices for even more savings. Even at retail they are within your budget.

My BPS Pro Qualifier set has been flawless and with the 100 MPH zip-in liner, it's very warm when you need it to be.

I upgraded to Simms Pro Dry a few years ago and they are fantastic but out of your price range. My wife has the Simms Challenger suit and it has been fine.

Prior to the Simms I had BPS 100 MPH jacket and bibs and they worked fine.

Don’t hang any of them up by the straps. I did and it stretched them out and had to replace them
