SoAl sign up for October 8th tournament/Meet & Eat

Guys its time to sign up for our annual Meet & Eat on Lake Mitchell at Higgins Ferry ramp. Tournament hours will be from safe light until 1:00. Immediately following weigh-in there will be a cook out at the pavilion. This is a great tournament to invite prospective new members. We also invite NoAl and CoAl members to join us. If two non members would like to fish together we will weight there fish and they can setup a side pot. Members fishing out of their own boat who haven't fished with us before be sure to have a proof of liability insurance.(at least 100,000)

When you sign up please let us know the number of guest you intend to bring so we will have a head count for the food. Families are welcome to attend the weigh-in and cookout.

We will be there Friday night along with Steve and Jacob so the boys can camp out the night before and get some serious time in on the playground equipment. We will be serving marshmellows over a campfire if anyone comes down Friday night.

I will jump in here for Steve.....we are camping out at the campground there at Higgins Ferry. Our boys (both 6) have planned a menu and events for them to play, roast mashmellows over a fire, and eat hotdogs the night before. Should be fun...Max (my son) and I did it last year and had a great time.

We're gonna camp at the campground. I got to call and get us a spot. I hope fishing is better than last weekend. I road up there last Saturday with wife and kids and 4 dozen shiners....we caught 2 fish in 3 hours of fishing.... Undoubtedly, I don't know where to go... I figured the bass/crappie/bream would eat up those shiners along the grass lines, treetops and docks, but we could not get bit. It was from about 1:00-4:00 but I was hopin for a few fish...
