Need some Alabama help on boat delivery

Alabama Gang - need your help.

I will be delivering my boat for sale to a fellow BBC'er from Louisiana. I was hoping to meet him somewhere North of Birmingham on I-65. Any suggestions where to stop in a safe area so he may inspect the boat - and take it home I hope.

Should be next Saturday around noon.

    Thanks in advance

    John N

I have delivered two boats at exit 299 on I-65. It's just south of Cullman and north of Bham. There is a Jacks Hamburgers restaurant on that exit that I have met the buyers at. Plenty of parking to get out of the way and can go inside and sit down to make the deal. Their address is 325 Alabama Hwy 69 South 35077.

A second suggestion would be Exit 267 on I-65.

Exit 267 is the Walker Chapel Road exit in the Gardendale/Fultondale area. It has a shopping mall (Target, JC Penney, etc) with several restaurants and a very large parking lot. There are some good places to eat as well....Full Moon BBQ, etc.

It is a safe area and just a few miles north of Bham.

Also just a few miles North is a rest area..Also Smith Lake is right there if wanting to test run it.

full moon IS good. i have a neice that works there part time. BUT, if oyu want pulled pork b-b-q, take the BLUNT SPRINGS exit off I-65. it takes you to TOP HAT B-B-Q. it is the BEST pulled pork in my opion. heard they have the best fried catfish too. oyu go down old state hwy 31 a ways to get to it, but well worth the drive. safe, country style setting. not many people there during the week either. sunday after chruch though oyu can't find a parking spot, lol.
