    Going to Guntersville the 18th

Hey guys, first time down here in spring. What should I be expecting this time of month(march 18th)? Is any part of the lake better? Stayed in guntersville last fall at Best western, any other recomendations or areas?

    Gville

Like all the reports say.......keep a rattlebait tied on. My best luck the last couple weeks have been the Red-eye shad in red. Of course I think they'll bite just about any color this time of year. Don't be afraid to throw some topwater, shallow cranks and jigs, but the rattlebait will usually prevail in March. I'll be there Saturday chunkin' and winding from Honeycomb.
Concentrate on the areas from Seibold to Goosepond.

    Re: Gville (Rex)

I'll be trying aldred islands and honeycomb. This time of year, should I be in the grass or edges generally?
Blue, how's the bite been this weekend?

I am going Thur. I would definetly also look for pad stems! They love to spawn on stumps and the hard bottoms of pad stems since pads prefer a hard bottom. Might also try a chatterbait as well in the pad stems. If it gets slick and sunny keep senko handy as well. High water or not, they are biting somewhere. Major full moon this weekend! Should be a good bite with some good spawners moving shallower.

It's nothing to doing it on line. Had to get some for the wife a couple week ago. Didn't have any way to print them out with the Droid X but they give the lic. number and said that would get her by.

Well, went all day fri. and till 3 sat. Got our butt kicked. Caught 4 on fri, and 3 on sat. All in 4-5 ft. in grass on rattle traps. Most everyone we talked to was doing about the same. Was this just a bad weekend for fishing? Thats twice I've been and not caught fish.(went last oct.) Big G isn't been kind to me. Fished in honeycomb, aldred islands, and a little in seibold.

WE are with you but a friend that went with us caught about 20 in 10 mins Friday afternoon and that's all they did. We caught 7 or 8 small ones nothing to talk about. Sat got our butt kick with a big Zero. Same here with everyone not doing well. Even some of the locals were not doing well
