Hey Cowboy. The 06 Navionics chip shows the flats. But, be aware, I've found the humps on the chips are slightly off from where the humps really are. Which could be bad if you're using it to run the flats.

According to the Navionics website the 07 chip should have high detail for Wheeler. Be sure your GPS unit is set to "Navionics" in the map data menu and then make sure you choose the "alabama" portion of the chip set. It should work.

It shows the main channel and the elk river o.k. but it does not show any ditches on the flats or creek channels. It shows guntersville, weiss, etc. good but not Wheeler>..
The only other suggestion I have is to make sure you are zoomed in as much as possible on the area you want to study because the high level detail only shows up when you zoom in close. Maybe Jason or someone else can give you more help.

The '07 and '08 chips do not show the flats. I've used both. The only Navionics chip that shows the flats (and any other shallow water--like way up in Flint Creek) is the '06 version. For what reason, I don't know.

Yep Jason is right. the 07 and 08 shows blue and that is it.
