Making trip to Birmingham for work near end of Oct/ Early Nov... wanting to get out on Wheeler if possible you going to be around... hows the water level and what phase are the fish in right about now....you can call or e-mail me if you don't want to post specifics..

Yeah I have a 2 day tournament there this Saturday and Sunday. If anyone would like to offer up some suggestions I would appreciate it as I have never fished Wheeler before.

I would love to help but I got a tournament Sunday out of Mallard Creek. I will tell y'all this be careful we are 2ft away from winter level oh yeah and we got a cold front coming in on Thurs. Check the lake levels go to the TVA site.
How about a detaled report after your tournament Eric? I need all the tips I can get before my Club tournament there next month, only been on Wheeler twice.
We may give a detailed report after the 27th. Eric and I have a tournament then. We'll be practicing a few times between now and then so maybe we'll figure something out that may help you.

Appreciate the help. Only been on Wheeler twice in my life, and that was this spring.
Planning on picking up my new boat around the 9th of November. I don't mind touring you around a bit in my boat or yours.

Man Jason, you and Eric sure are keeping the info to yourselfs.I got out Sat. and fished a small afternoon T. out of the Elk river. Took 13 to win, 9lb 2nd, me and my nephew got 3rd with 8lb. I just stayed around in the Elk fishing wood and back of sloughs with square bill bandits. Caught alot of fish just alot of small ones. This pattern should hold up for several weeks for those that are coming down. But you better listen to Eric about the water levels , its low this time of year.
