NoAl Chapter - Vote for a lake to fish in September

It's time once again to select a lake for our next monthly tournament, which will be the 15th of September. Everyone planning to attend is encouraged to vote. As usual, we'll keep a tally of the votes here. Thanks!

I haven't ever made it to one of ya'lls tourneys before. But I think this might work out if wilson is a go. Would it be a day time or night time tourney?

It would be a day tournament from safe daylight til 3 p.m. unless we vote to end early due to the heat. Also, we are just in the voting stages and the sign-up will be a week or two before the tourney. We would be glad to have you come out and fish with us on Sept. 15th, and if you would like to have your vote counted just get with Avery.

I like Wilson or Upper Bear, but I will hold my vote until Alan returns from vacationing in Alaska.

All of the North Alabama Chapter tournaments are held on the 3rd Saturday of every month. On the other hand, the Southern Chapter is held on the 1st Saturday of every month. Follow these links to familiarize yourself with the the rules.

Start time would be safe daylight until 3 p.m.

If Wilson wins, then I suppose it would be held at Safety Harbor.

Fleet Harbor is the one at Wilson dam on the TVA Reservation. Safety Harbor, which is the one we normally fish out of, is just off of US-101 at Wheeler dam.

Ill vote for Wilson . I have a wedding to attend at Robert T jones golf trail or resort whatever, that sat night , are there any camping places on wilson or what about joe wheeler across the road from safe harbor? I thought about bringing camper and make a weekend out of it. Sunday the 16th is my anniversary 30yrs, and the wife seems to like the idea of camping and fishing together that weekend.

Just north of Wheeler Dam there is a camp ground on Hwy 101. It is actually on Wheeler Lake, but would put you would literally pull out on 101 south, cross the dam, and turn right to go to Safety Harbor. You'd be there in 2 minutes.

I think Doublehead Resort also has campgrounds but that would put you a little farther away from the ramp.

I think that is part of Joe Wheeler State Park.

It all falls under Joe Wheeler, but it has another name. If you call about Joe Wheeler State Park Campground, you get the one at 1st Creek close to the Lodge.
