find a good used motor between 115-175 horspower. i live in north alabama and i figured that someone on here would know where one was at. i could use the powerhead off of a evenrude/ jonhson 90-115 horspower. i would also be interested in a dirt cheap 150-175 that i could have rebuilt. theres got to be some boat sitting up that has a motor in need of a fixen thanks

its according to what im buying if it is a good motor maby 2000-2500 but i got burned on a motor once and i lost alot of money. but if its blown and dont need a power head i might give them enough cover wat they could get for parts off of the motor.

I got one 500 bucks firm you can have it. Parts are worth more than that. It is an 87 evinrude 150xp. I don't know whats wrong with it but one cylinder dropped down to 60lb on compression. It was still running when I removed it. The lower unit on it has a bullet nose cone on it. I also replaced the powerpacks before it dropped compression. I also put a new fuel pump on it for running with out oil injection. Give me a call 412 0601. I am in hamilton.

thanks matt for the reply i have all the parts to a mercury so i have decided to stay with a mercury if i can but i will try and sell your motor for you if i hear of somebody wanting one. its sounds like a cylinder is blown, same thing happend to mine is why im saying that one cylinder dropped to 52 and i opened her up and one of the cylinder rings had come off.

I pulled the engine off and found a 150 promax (which was a hard engine to find) and converted everything over to merc. I just sold the boat to my cusion a few weeks ago. Its a older skeeter that I restored a few years ago. If you fish upperbear a lot you'll probably see it sometime. Well auctually you'll hear it before you'll see it . I have a red 2200 gambler ain't no mistaking it since I've got the only one around these parts.

I remember him, preacher right, didn't know that was your dad. Currently around 87 lightly loaded. I usually don't run that fast in our club tourneys though. No need to I can just push it to 76 or 78 and still be out front. I ran it up to 82 for a short blast in the rose trail tourney.

I'll keep ears open for ya. I just stripped down an old pro-craft and sold the engine for a bud. He sold the engine for a 100 bucks . Wished this had been sooner. Woulda made a nice PH for ya.............Mater

yeap thats him he used to fish alot about ten or 12 years ago, he was angler of the year a few times i was to little to really remeber, he had a 19 foot bullet with a 225 merc that would do 84 with him and another guy and he used to wiegh about 300lbs and so did the other guy but he sold it when he got out of fishing, man why cant i be the lucky child who inhierits nice things. by the way i have a tourny on wheeler sat night any tips?

yea i would have prolly bought it for 100 bucks thanks and keep an eye out for me.
