I'll take Wheeler out of 1st Creek. Come on Eric, you'll get over it. Nothing like a little run in a tournament.

I'll play along and take Wheeler and First Creek as ramp choice. Not that it will matter weather or not partner and I can catch any fish but thats my vote.

    Eric,

Do you think we can stand beating Jody two months in a row on two different lakes?

Where will we go for lunch this time? The Lodge is too expensive.

I just can't see running that far unless you are on them real good. I would rather fish a little closer and utilize the time to fish rather than running. That is of course unless you know for a fact they will be there when you get there.

So what would you guys think about having a "trailering tournament" where you could put in an any ramp on the lake? That's with the understanding, of course, that you would have to register at ramp "A", couldn't leave ramp "A" until safe light, and had to be back at ramp "A" by the official weigh in time. And you would have to fish the same lake - no running to Guntersville!

With the price of gas, I'd much rather use $18 - $20 worth of gas towing my boat to a ramp closer to where I wanted to fish instead of burning $85 - $90 worth of gas to get there by boat. (Based on a 90 mile round trip with the average truck getting ~15 mpg and the average boat getting ~3 mpg at WOT.)

I'm not a real big fan of trailering tournaments but thats just me.

    Avery,

I understand the thinking behind it and based on that I don't mind. But, unfortunately, in todays time, no matter how large or small a tournament, you have some that want to win no matter what and that just makes it too easy to stop by a farm pond you know and fill up on nice fish and not burn much gas at all.

I'm game though to go along with whatever the others want to do.

I guess that means no locking through to Wilson either??

Absolutely! Actually it wouldn't matter, Alan, 'cause Wilson's like the Dead Sea for me right now for some reason........unless you want to catch a bunch of stripers!
