Well Lay Lake won by one vote so sign up here and I will keep a list in this thread. We will use the Beeswax ramp and we will meet at 6am and weigh-in at 2pm.

Note: Lesley Brosz needs a back seat to fish from. Lesley lives on Lay Lake and she knows where the fish are so if you need a partner please let her know.

I've ask Jason Bryant to jump in here and give us detailed driving instructions from I 65 South to Beeswax ramp. I never can remember how to get there myself.

Mark, I also asked Jason to suggest a motel for you. I know that Shoney's Inn is at exit 208 but I don't know if that is the closest motel to the ramp.

Hey Guys,

First off, Winn I think I'll be fishing with Brain Jones. That may change if he can't make it. But I will be fishing this one.

Second. I will have to get direction later this week. I know you turn right just before you cross water twice on Hwy 145. I'll get a road number this week. Let me ask you guys this. Is everyone coming to clanton then hitting 145 north from exit 212?

Third. As for Hotels, Clanton would probably be the best place to stay if we decide to launch form "flat landing"... If we are still lauching form Beeswax, Calera would be your best bet. Both have a holiday inn express I think. I have not stayed at either but if you go to http://www.yellowbook.com and search for hotel in Calera, AL and Clanton, AL, the have a pretty complete listing and you can call for the best room rates. I can advise you not to stay at the Cloverleaf in Clanton! The rest are ok, I think.

Well there just might be North and South clubs in our future if we can get it worked out. That will make it easier on the gas for everyone. I know we all dropped a bundle going to Millers Ferry.
