I wanted to ask if it is necessary to replace the rod caps screws every time you remove them . The manual tells you to replace them when reinstalling them . Why is it necsseary if there in good shape ?

I think it has something to with re-tourqing the screws over and over. If you had your rebuilt once already, I would go ahead and replace them.

I haven't replaced any that still looked like they needed to, but then again I also put mine on a rod bolt stretch gauge...:)
