WHAT???? We've got an OMC board??? I thought we only had a BRP Evinrude/Johnson forum. Man where have I been? Have you got a link Kerry? I bet they've got a picture of that 250 H.O. E-Tec Evinrude is coming out with. Here's the picture I've got.

3.5hrs by car. We have had our first major cold front blow threw. Winds out of North for 25mph for almost 2 days and nights solid. Hopefully the weather change will turn them on

Re: BBC members need help on Wheeler (Kerry201pro)

Just wanted to say "Thanks" to Eric and Kerry for coming over and helping out. Talking with you guys was very helpful in deciding where to go and what to look for etc.

Don D and I spent a few hours on the flats on Wednesday afternoon, but had no luck. Decided to go further down toward Wilson on Thursday and look for deeper water and more cover along the shoreline. Might not have been the right decision, but it allowed us to fish more comfortable water for us. We don't have grass etc, and decided to fish our strengths during the tourney.

Thursday we found some decent fish there, and caught maybe 25 fish fishing the areas in the Elk river between the mouth and the bridge. Decided to concentrate on those areas and stay away from the really shallow stuff. Our best 5 would go somewhere in the 12 lb range. but we never found the kicker we needed to get us into the 15-17 lb range, but knew they were there.

Friday we headed down, and started fishing the points on the end of the island at the mouth of the Elk.

Lots of feeding fish there but could not get hooked up with topwaters.

Started throwing the crankbaits we had caught fish on the day before, and Don D caught a nice 5 lb + drum.

About 8:30 or so I decided to give the blade another try and stuck a good fish (the kicker we needed) in the 4 1/2 - 5 lb range. Fish took me into some deep trees and could not get her out. Broke off, and losing that fish ruined me for the rest of the day. I just could not shake the loss.

Finally found some active fish around 12 on the crankbaits and caught 6 or 7 of them, but could only manage 2 keepers.

Decided to head home on Saturday morning.

Had a great time fishing the T and enjoyed meeting a lot of great people with BAIT and also the guys who took the time to come over and hang out with us.. Your input and advice was listened to carefully, I can assure you.
