Has anybody mount the large screen HD Sonars in their Triton SF or similar model. Would like to see how you did the install and how big were you able to go?

I too have a 1999 Triton SF21 and would like to mount HDS8 or HDS10. Can't seem to figure out a good place.
Interested in seeing where and how you did it.
Please help.
Thank you.
I mounted a HDS10 to the left of the steering wheel on the flat portion of the dash below the large guage. I used a Ram mount (RAM-D-111U-C) it tilts to the right. With a little tweeking if fits between the window brace and the steering wheel. The RAM mount allows you to get the HDS low enough to see over it. My cables come out to the left of the RAM base on the side of the curved area and covered with a hood.
It does block the view of the three guages on the left side but you can see the water pressure and voltage if you move your head around. I am looking at rearrangeing and moving the water pressure to the right side and getting a multifunction guage for RPM/Trim and one other function. You don't need speed or voltage since it is on HDS unit.
I put a second HDS10 on the bow mounted on the deck with the console. I might move that one a few inches to the right if I had to do it again. It is also on a Ram mount (RAM-D-111U-C). I can lay it down on the deck in rough water or towing to protect it.
We installed some HDPE on the long wall of the right bow locker. All the cables, boxes are located on the HDPE so we only had to drill 4 holes in the fiberglass. My rigger loved it and he used tones of cable holders in the HDPE to route everything. Very sanitary install and secure in a locked compartment.
Hope that helps. I don't have any current pictures since the install. The boat is over in storage. If I get some good weather and get out I will shoot a couple of pictures. and post them.

Ron,
Thank you very much for the info.
Pictures would be awesome.........
Need to have all installed and myself educated by April.
Heading to Kentucky Lake to fish friendly tourney......
Thanks again.
Here are the pictures. Nine are fully networked and I am running 2-LSS units one on the transom and one on the trolling motor. If you have any other questions let me know.

Ron,
Thanks very much for the pictures.
These help a lot.
What about the transducers?
Did you mount the Sonar transducer on transom or get a shoot thru hull?
Where on the transom did you mount the structurescan transducer?
Again pictures would be awesome, if possible.
The pics are very helpful. I have a Triton SF 19 that I am researching the best way to mount an HDS 8 on. I can't decide to put in on the console or in the bow. Any suggestions from those that might have this setup? Or if you have two, do you find yourself using one over the other? The next big decision is where to place the transducers? I'm leaning towards transom mount, but hate to put holes in the boat. Appreciate the help.
Chris
I have my LSS-1 mounted on the transom on the factory bracket and a shoot thru hull transducer about a foot away in the bilge.
Then on the front I have a puck and LSS-1 ducer mounted on the trolling motor with a transducer saver. They are great.
I get good clean images from both front and rear. They are networked so I can use whatever combination I want. But console defaults to transom and bow screen defaults to trolling motor mount.

If you can only go with one HDS and LSS it would have to be on the console so you can hunt. If you can afford two HDS they are great. My second transducer setup might be considered over kill but I really like it.

Thanks Ron. Did you drill holes in your transom for the LSS transducer or did you put a piece of starboard on the transom and attach it to it? I am thinking that I will have two ram mounts, one on console and one in bow, and run an extra Ethernet cable up to the bow so that I can then move the HDS to either position. I only fish maybe 10 days/yr but those structure scan pics are really amazing. I was thinking about using the lowrance x51 transducers for the sonar. I guess I would lose water temp but would have it on the LSS. Any other issues with using the older transducers?
Thanks
Chris
I'm not the right guy to ask about transducers, i just don't know enough. Mine came with a new transducer so we stuck with that.
My bracket is drilled directly to the transom. For the LSS to perform the best you want it level when the boat is floating and moving at about 3-5 mph.
