I recently took my 99 TR21 to a dealer to have a Hamby's Beach Bumper installed on it. They called and told me that it wouldn't work due to the "step" on the hull. Has anyone had one installed? If so, what was the solution for the step.

If you are talking about a keel guard I have one on my boat and we have the same boat 99 Tr21. The keel guard only goes to about the middle of the boat where the pad or flat part of the hull starts ??![]()
Apparently, they couldn't trim the Hamby's. It is thick and is tapered at both ends. They said it wouldn't look right. Even the 6' model was too long. I will look into the self install models. Thanks for the response
I have a Hamby's Original on my 2000 TR-20. They didn't have any problem putting it on in 2005 and it's still there. See picture in my signature below.
Give Roger Sutterfield at Hamby's a call - he should be able to straighten things out for you. 1-800-742-2813

Have you tried any of the dealers in Rockwall area?
I sent an e-mail to Hamby's. I will wait to see what they say. I am near Corpus Christi, so wouldn't want to go all the way to Rockwell. Thanks for responding!
