Which one of these is the better deal?

I'm currently in the market for a new boat. Which do you think is the better deal of these two? 9k is really a little more than I want to spend but I could swing it.

Any advice on either of these? The triton is a 2004. I know the Triton is better quality, but is it worth 2k more? Neither has electronics worth mentioning, but thats fine because I have two nice birds to put on whatever boat I get. And both have Motorguides so I'd have to put Minnkota on either boat.

    Any info is greatly appreciated.

    Alex,
The V Tracker will be better in rough water but the Triton would be more stable while fishing. I'm not sure but the Triton may be a pad hull which runs more like a glass boat . The Triton has a 24V TM a 12V on the Tracker. I know I couldn't fit behind the console on the Tracker when I looked at them 5 years ago. No legroom for us big tall guys. If you're looking to keep the boat for 5 yrs or so I'd spend the less money because 5 yrs from now they'll both be worth about the same. The major depreciation is pretty much gone.

Alex, After checking the values for you both seem to be priced right but I'd go look at both and see which is in better shape. Decide which is better for you. I would start with an offer price of $4800 for the Tracker and a buy price of $5K or start at $7K for the Triton and a buy price of $7500.

I'd go with the triton either way.

(for the record I own a tracker)

Triton all the way. That tracker is all wood decks the triton has no wood. Thats a big seller right there.

Not a big fan of tracker they are made very cheep and cut corners. (I owned a pt175)

    Re: (jtracc)

Thanks for all the info guys. I am going to go try and look at them today.

Al, leg room is a good point, but not a big concern for me at 5'8".

The wood decking is also a good point, but I would like the better ride of the Tracker. But with you two Tracker owners saying Triton, thats a big clue...

And thanks Al for checking those values. Being spring here in MN dealers dont' want to move much on price as boats sell pretty quick, but I will try to beat em down anyway
