    How long is YOUR rig??

So, I'm starting to look at getting a used tin boat next year. Maybe a G3, Tracker, Triton etc... This will be my first boat and would like to know what the over all length of some of these tin boats are. I have limited room on the side of my house so....let'er rip. Let me know what you you have and the overall length and width with the motor.

I know some of these have a folding tongue so folded length with motor and outside of wheel fenders is what I'm looking for.
    Thanks

Re: How long is YOUR rig?? (AWilliams)

My tin boat is a 16ft. v-bottom, about 4to5 ft. wide at he widest part of the front. The trailer is about 17.5 ft. long and fits in my garage very nice. I fish the Ohio River, Ky. Lake, Lake Barkley most. The old boat does pretty well in the big water, don't do it fast but gets me there and back.

I have a 2004 17ft polar kraft deep V, great boat still, take it on large lakes like ozarks, vermilion (MN) with no problems, just make sure you get enough hp on em

Mine has a 90" beam so on trailer somewhere around 9' I would guess. Boat is 20' long plus 6" jack plate plus motor and then add a couple of feet for the tongue. I would huess aroung 25' or so. I really never measured it because I rent a storage unit for it. That's something you could always do if they are available close to you or your favorite lake.

my boat is a 17.5' rig however on the trailer with motor trimmed down it would require a 24' garage if you wanted to close the garage door. I don't have the break away tongue though, that would help tremendously!

1998 Xpress H-56 with 98 Mariner 135. 18'3" in length. Don't remember with for sure, but it is very wide & stable. Runs 58 gps with a very heavy tourney load full on gas with 2 anglers & rides great. Look at Xpress before you make your mind up on aluminium boats as you may like them very much for sure.

18 ft Lund Pro VSE. 96" beam at the transom. It must be a bit wider than 9 ft. The tires are almost on the center line and on the white stripe on the berm on the country roads. I would guess 25' long on the trailer. I use that folding tongue every time I put it in the driveway. Very handy feature of the trailer.

Triton 176 Mag (17' 6") just fits in 24 foot garage without a swing away tongue.
