Light, some have run in the 90s with a 225. Realistically, you will be in the 80s with a full tourney load.
You will be shocked at how crossing bass boat wakes at 70+ doesn't phase the boat, you hardly feel them. And stability is as good as any Ranger when fishing. Plus, with todays gas prices, any of the performance boats burn a lot less gas.

Re: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly! (DLABORDE)

Well a 225 should run with a fishing load in the mid 80's and very light low 90's

As for the bad, I have two gripps, The rod locker doors are small but the rod locker is large, second, there is no glove box in the passenger console.

The good, very fast, very stable at speed and when fishing, will carry a load better then any other boat. The ride in rough water is second to none, fishes in the wind very easy. Fit and finish is very good. The Chub is top notch, just don't get any better other then Alice that is (his better half). You can pick the phone up and call storker and you will get Chub or Alice. No run around.

Kurt is also key to Strokers. He will bend over backwards to help on set up.
Lots of guys that run Strokers very fast, and will help if there is a problem getting the speeds you should. There are no secerts held back.

The Good: The fun you will have !
These boats are just as much fun to drive as fish!!

The Bad: You will be !!

The Ugly: Having to clean all the finger prints off the boat from everyone gathering around it

you really need to go for a ride and fish out of one
they draft shallow, very stable, and haul A$$

Re: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly! (Stroker300x)

Mine isn't as fast as most on this board because of the elevation I run, but it is the fastest bass boat in New Mexico at this time. It fishes better than my old 393 Ranger and 201d Cobra. It rides better in rough water and is dryer than both of the other boats. My fishing partner has a 2003 Ally/280ss, it's fast but a total different animal. We fish out of the Stroker because of it's stability but the Ally is always ready in case mine has a problem. You need to call Kurt, he has a very nice Stroker with a 225 for sale. The only problem I have with the Stroker is I have found it's more fun to go fast than to fish and I love to fish.

You ought to see the size of the single console rod locker door if you think yours are small.

My 225PM runs in the 80's, I think a Opti with 1.75's propped right would to.

The door is small on the rod locker, but I often carry 15-18 rods in each box, 8 in the rod holders and more tucked to the side. This is one boat that every time you come off plane you are smiling. They are great boats that fish well, handle well, and are fast. All i wanted was a tourny loaded bass boat that could run 90mph. Now I am used to going out and run 90 every day fully tournament loaded, 30 rods, 20 plano boxes of tackle, cooler full, with 2 people and 3/4 tank of fuel. They are awesome boats and more than I expected when I came out of a 21 ft stratos.

THere is a plus side to the smaller rod locker lids. You can reach over the rod box lids while on the trailer to work on rods with out having to get into the boat.

We will have a long discussion about these boats on Thursday my friend!! They are some beastly boats! I have only seen four... Lou's, Willie's, Kevin Pep's... and a random one out at Buggs Island... and to talk about beastly boats... i have yet to see another perform like it.

If anyone ever gets out to Southern NM, I would be happy to spend the day or more on the water with you.
