Recarpeting a '94 Stratos Pro XL

I have a couple questions on recarpeting my '94 Stratos Pro XL.
I have removed all my lids and the metal piece that is behind my bench seat
and also the fiberglass piece that is underneath my bench seat.
Stupid me didn't take any pictures BEFORE I removed the carpet from the
fiberglass piece that is underneath my bench seat.
I ordered my carpet (8 1/2' X 30') and I have all my lids (8) removed and covered.

The only things left is my front deck, my floor, the piece of metal behind the seat and the piece
    of fiberglass under the seat.
My boat is under cover in my back yard and it is very hard for me to get a vissual image
of my bench seat in the boat and HOW MUCH CARPET I should put on the piece of
fiberglass piece that is underneath my bench seat. I do no that the flooring piece
comes up and over the front and a little bit UNDER the bench. That is NOT a problem.

My questions is how much goes over the top and how far down the back and the
sides of the fiberglass piece shoul I have my carpet?
Again I should have taken pics of carpet BEFORE I removed it.
I hope I am making my self clear. I am going to have to measure the carpet that is left
to make sure I am going to have enuf.
If I have any more questions they WILL FOLLOW.
    Any HELP WILL BE HELPFUL

    Thanks in Advance, Ray

I am in the process of starting my recarpeting project and I am not sure what you mean by an extra fiberglass piece. I have a 1996 and do not have any extra fiberglass piece...just the carpeted aluminum piece that sits over the gas tanks and supports the bench seat. On each side of the bench seat is fiberglass that does not get carpet. The bench seat does not cover the entire width of the boat, to leave room for the throttle lever on the drivers side, and on the passenger side, there is about 3 inches. I may have some pictures that will help. This is my first post using this forum...can we send pictures with these postings or not? If so, how?
