I'm in middle of recarpeting my 2000 19ss and I am looking for a good place to buy the gas shocks. I've tried ebay and the corect ones are not listed. Anybody have a good source. Looking for Attwood SL-15-10 shocks or compatible off brand. Thanks in advance.
Cabelas if you have one close to you. Go to the parts department. They can order them for you if they don't have it in stock.

What you have there is an Attwood OEM gas spring with a 10 lb spring. The Attwood aftermarket gas spring equivalent is a SL35. The SL35 comes in 30 - 50 lb range. My 2004 295 ProXL has a SL15-60 and they will not push the lids up. It will hold them up when open so I do not know if they are bad or not.
Search the web and you will find several places that have these gas springs
I took mine out of the boat and into our local NAPA auto parts dealer so they could cross reference the number on the shock...I was able to get my hands on a replacement within 2 days. Cost was competitive with online costs as well.
