Stratos trailer about shot. What to get next.

Trailer has got some holes in the cross members and I'm starting to get a little nervous. Has anybody replaced theirs? What did you get? I've got a quote from Hi-Tech marine for an aluminum. Any experience with them?

    Hi-Tech quoted $2800 for a single axle.

I had to replace mine for the same reasons. I got an aluminum trailer from Bobs Trailer Shop here in Norfolk Va. He came to my house and measured my garage to make sure my boat would fit back in with the new trailer. He even added an extra set of bunks to help support the boat. I ask for a little extra capacity over what i had so the new trailer has larger tires etc. I have been very happy with mine. Not more RUST!

I got an Easyloader aluminum I beam, single axle with disc brakes and oil bath hubs for ~$3K. I added a spare tire carrier and the stainless steel model retractable boat straps on the transom. Bob added the extra bunks and the rear center roller that you place your motor toater on. Mine came with the PVC guides but you can specify the roller type guides if you perfer. I did have them shorten the guides and they work well. I live here in coastal VA and fish coastal river as well as inland lakes so corossion is a big issue for us here. On of the guys in our club bought his trailer from the people in Richmond. I think it is a Venture or something like that. My trailer seems to be click above in quality IMHO.
