How do you like your Bantam MgL?

Curious to see thought about your experience with this reel and what you are using it for. How’s the size in hand and castability/ retrieve .

    thanks in advance !

I bought mine a few weeks ago but havent spooled it up yet. Its a very solid feeling reel with the right amount of weight in hand. It feels good in your hand, too. A little smaller then a Metanium '13.

Best reel shimano has kicked out in a very long time imo. I had 5 met mgl and have replaced those with bantams. I love mine.

I fell in the rut for a second of the line guide is to close to the spool but honestly after using it I can cast as far as I need to cast for most fishing I now have 5 if them. Really is the most sturdy reel I have used

Great reel. I’ve only used it a few times and use it for spooks and jerkbaits. Casts great, retrieve is smooth as a knife through butter and it’s as solid as my CQ’s. The integration of the non handle side plate and the main frame is pretty slick too!

I was hoping I wouldn’t like it as much as I do because now I want more!

As for size? It’s smaller than the Chronarch CI4+ and nowhere near as long as the Metanium.
