I've always owned a champion, last boat was a 95 190 SCX elite, but I have found a great deal on an 03 201 XL pro. I've talked to local buddies and they all own 05's or newer so they really can't help me. My question is: is the hull design the same in the 03 model 201's as it is in the 05 and beyond? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes the 2003 and up proxl / xl's have the same hulls. Change was only when the evo's came out. Top caps changed some.
They are great boats. Very good ride, tons of storage, fish great and are very fast.
Only real difference between '03 and '05 should have been the seats were a little different.
Everything that was fiberglass was the exact same.
