I have a 2008 285xl and wanting to know if there is a way to raise the 2 bucket seats about 2in., would help me see over the windshield better ? How are they held in place now ?

If the 285 is like most other models, remove the seat cushion by pulling up from the front of the cushion, it will just be velcroed to the base. There should be some hardware holding the seat base to the seat pan. If the seat does not remoce, remove the back cushion of the seat and look for hardware attaching the back of the seat to the seat pan.
