    Which Oil for the Evinrude 175 Ficht

    A buddy of mine has an Evinrude 175 Ficht system motor and is trying to decide which oil is best to run in it.

    Royal Purple
    XD-100
    XD-50

    Also, is the XD-100 synthetic?

    XD 100 is full synthetic and would be his best choice. XD 50 would be OK, but he would need to de-carb annually.

    To add to what Danrude said, the XD50 is a synthetic grade. i.e. not fully synthetic.
