Whats the difference between models of the same year?

I'm boat shopping. Been looking a Stratos. I will probably buy somehing in the 1998-2003 yr range. Can someone tell me what the diffs are between a 21 xl mag, 201 PE, and 21 SS extreme? Same goes with the 20fters. I think I've seen a 20 xl pro star to add to the list. Diff hulls? Diff options? which one is fastest. My last boat was an 05 Blazer 210 with a 250hpdi. thanks

asx model is the quickest for sure,,different models,,different options,there were some different hull designs depending on models as with the asx model,i got a 03 21 xl prostar,dc, with 250 merc,it is a very fishable and safe at high speeds and rough weather,the boat and motor have been flawless since day one,
