It's super rare to have the ECU quit running the fuel pump if that's all that's wrong with it. More likely, a corroded or frozen pump, bad relay, blown fuse, or 12V not reaching the ECU.
If there are other symptoms and testing by the factory service manual procedures confirmed ECU problems, then the ECU may be bad.

DFI is a good choice for a rebuild,they did one for me last year $640.00 I think was the cost.
I have a used one for that motor if your interested,also I have a complete fuel pump and injectors even.
Let me know if interested in any used parts for that motor!

They said they ranall the diagnostic tests and it failed the last test that sent the fuel pump signal. I had just replaced the power distribution module.my Tilt trim had stopped work and then the fuel pump quit. All of this took place after adding a fuel seperator to my fuel lines.
