alarm(horn) for engine problems not working..

Hey guys, I have an 86 Stratos 189v fish and ski, with Evinrude 200xp of same year. Its got the fast idle arm next to the shifter and under it when lifted is a slot to put key or other small metal object in hole to test safety horn..I can see a spark when i move key around in the hole a little but no alarm.. it worked last fall but now does not..I installed a new graph gps over the winter but not sure if it is related in any way..I figure this boat is too old to find wiring diagram for and was wondering if anyone has run into this before..I would rather fix myself if I thought it wouldnt be to complicated...any advice would be apreciated, thanks..

The warning horn is related to the engine harness, not the boat's wiring harness. Go search for that engine's wiring harness.

Here is a link to your control box wiring harness. continuousWave: Whaler: Reference: Ignition Switch There are two styles of alarms ones that chirp when the key is turned on and one that sounds when there is an issue (older style).
