    o6 stratos 294 question??

I'm looking at this boat....the only downfall for me is, it has a single axle trailer.

Any of u guys tow this boat with a single axle?

If so, what do u think?

    Re: o6 stratos 294 question?? (Crank1up)

I personally would not own a bass boat without a dual axle trailer if you fish a lot of tournaments. We have a lot of less than stellar ramps in NY, many mountains/hills, and couple that with the ride and wear and tear on the vehicle I'd go with dual. O yea, I used to have a single axle and wasted a bearing, what a nightmare 700 miles from home.

If it is a good deal though, you may be able to find a dealer who will upgrade for you. Some guys up here did that for their trailer and cash.

I have an 06 with a single axle trailer and to be honset since i have had dual axle trailers, i cant see any difference. Boat pulls great and trailers is just fine. Actually it is to my favor to have the single due to my garage. With the single i am able to move it a little easier.

My 294 with a single axle trailer pulls good as well. My previous boat was a 94 Javelin 379T, and I thought that boat, although smaller, bounced around a lot more than my current one. I have no complaints about it at all.

I wish I could've gotten a single alxe with my 200xl. Pushing that trailer and boat around the garage is getting old... and tiring... Dan

I had a 2007 with a single axle & had no problem pulling it with my 1995 straight-six Ford F150.

    Re: (Dan200xl)

I switched my dual for a single when I bought my boat at C@O and it does fine under my 200XL. I actually bought it to replace a dual on my 96 Jav 400TE I had, and I just keep the trailer when I traded boats. I have a 90 degree angle I have to turn to get in basement, and I used the go-jacks for a year and got tired of them so i just got a new single axle and it was so much better. A single axle will be fine under a 294.

I also have a single axle and have no complaints. I fish all the way up to ice-in and have no issues at all.
