Lots of questions, how long have you had the motor? How long has the problem been going on? Has anything been done to it recently besides the plugs? Am I reading you correct in that it is hard starting and you have to give it throttle to keep it running or does it idle fast on it own. When was the last decarb performed? Lets start with these questions and the Model Serial# and someone will help you.

FYI even though you have new plugs are you aware that(depending on what your model number is) there could only one brand/size/type plug recommend for that motor...and it must be index![]()

Was this a recent rebuild by a competent mechanic or a shade tree job? What is the fuel lift pump pressure, what is the high pressure reading? What is the timing? What do your voltages read? Are there any stored codes,check eng. lights,warning horns? Is the battery to spec, tight, no corrosion. What is the readings for the t.p.s,c.p.s,a.t.s,etc? Is the correct voltage present at the p.d.p?Is the fuel system tight and free of leaks? What caused the failure the first time?
