I was wondering what kind of performance you guys are getting out of your 186 XT's ? I have a 2008 186 XT / Mercury 115 opyimax and I am still trying to get it propped right. I am currently running a 13.5 x 21 SS powertech PTR.

I fished with a guy that has a 115 Opti on one when I lived in Clarksville. He doesn't post much here anymore. He was running an aluminum prop. Best with one big dude was just under 50 MPH. Both of us (big dudes) was in the mid 40's anytime. Great river rig or smaller water rig. That boat has a huge front deck for an 18 footer.
I've got a 2011 with the 115 Optimax. It runs about 52mph GPS at 5400 rpm's with a Merc alum. 12.75x21. Two guys, light load.

Thanks for the replies. The dealer put a Solas SS Saturn prop on it that is 13x21 but I am all over the rev limiter with it. I bought a powertech PTR 13.5 x21 SS prop and 2 guys, gear and 1/2 tank of fuel I have hit 51 to 52 mph GPS at 5600 rpm's in the cooler months but I drop down to 5400 rpm's and about 49 MPH in the summer months. I thought about trying the Turbo 1 13.25 x 21 ss prop since they told me it was between the Solas and the powertech but I haven't decided yet. I had a prop shop tell me to bring the Solas to them and they could add some cup to the prop and get the rpm's down and give me more bow lift.
