Hey Guys,
I've owned my 1991 Javelin 389T for two full seaons now and have just added two new deep cycle batteries. The new batteries are prob 50lbs (combined) heavier than the replaced batteries and I'm wondering if adding a se 300 hydrofoil or similiar will help compensate for the extra weight. The motor is a 1991 Johnson Faststrike (average 100 lbs P.S.I. on all cylinders) and has no prob getting me out of the hole...... but with full livewell and or 1 or 2 more people in boat it can take a bit to get on plane. Just wondering if it would be worth it to add a hydrofoil or if there's another remedy to this problem, of course without buying another boat, lol, yet!
This is my first post to this site, but has already helped my out in many ways including Cando Marine In Tennessee who had a new windshied/screen for my boat. Props to everyone on here and especially the techs!! Thanks.
