Always thought it was a tool for when they wouldn't bite anything else, but lately I have been absolutely smoking them on it and don't really want to pick up anything else. I was also surprised at the amount of water I can cover with it and still be efficient. One pitch to a piece of cover, let it sink, reel in and repeat. Anybody else go out looking for a wacky rigged worm bite??

Pitching and flipping Senkos get a big nod on the Delta this time of year. The Revenge Flippin Wackers is the go-to jig head due to various hook and weigh options.
I'm down in Hilton Head at a resort and the guy at the desk tells me they rent out fishing poles to fish in the lagoon. I ask him if there is bass in there and he said i think so. Go to the truck and find a bait caster and spinning rod. Go around entire lagoon with a white and chartreuse chatter bait catch one, go around entire lagoon with square bill loss one, go around with a small swim bait catch one, next a spinner bait catch one. Change to a Diawa fat neko worm (5 inch) and hook it wacky style with a #02 drop shot hook because that's all I had and proceed to catch fish after fish. I don't know why I shun this bait because it's a fish catching machine.
Use it every time I go fishing. Never fails me. Senko in green pumpkin. O ring, small nail weight is my set-up. St Croix spinning rod, extra fast tip.
I run these on my rods for my grand kids. I use a small weight texas rigged and pegged with the hook thru a o ring. Once they are hooked the weight has no influence on the hook.
So pitch and sink, and wind it in. That's it. Not a single twitch or pop? Not one?

I wacky rig a Zoom Trick in Junebug, a favorite Florida color, I twitch, pop pop,
it's caught a large amount of fish from 1 lb-8.5lbs.
I myself believe its one of those things guys only use when the fishing is tough and the fish don't see a lot of them
I know several successful tourney guys that throw a wacky worm and an a-rig almost exclusively throughout pre-to-post spawn.
Sadly I can count the number of fish I have caught on a Senko on one hand.. But might have to give this a try.

I rig them weightless, Texas style but fish them similar to a jerk bait or a sluggo. Sometimes I’ll just let it sit and sink slowly. While I rarely fished them before, it’s my go to most of the time now.
Can you say FISH CATCHER?
If you're not catching fish on a Senko...especially wacky rigged...you're over-working the bait. "You don't work them, they work for you" is absolutely fact. Don't neglect Dropshotting...or power shotting...a Senko or clone.
