Just picked up a new 186xt, the dealer put a 13.3 x 21 prop on it, I was just curious if anyone else had this combo and what size prop they were running.
The motor is still breaking-in but the boat would only turn 5200rpm out on the water yesterday, still showed 50-52mph on the speedo with 2 guys in it.
Im in about the same place you are. I have seen 55 with rms around 5400, but normally my numbers are about the same as yours but on GPS. I am also running the factory 21p al prop. Would really like to try a 20 raker and see what it would do.

I have a 20 P Raker, kinda rough, would sell for $80+ shipping or $100 to your door, I don't like the holeshot, puts my heavy fish and ski at 48.5gps at 5800 rpms, I can run 46 with my other prop that rips out of the hole which I prefer
Would be a goog prop to test with and if you like have it tweaked for your rig by Mark or your prop guy at a later date. At my storage unit 130 miles away and already winterized, so would not be able to ship until I needed to go back, something to think about over the winter
I have a 2009 186XT w/115 Evinrude HO. The guys at Arrowhead Marine in Tenn. set it up with a 19 stainless prop after trying several different ones. It tops at about 52/53mph (GPS). That is all that hull can handle and remain relatively stable. The 115 HO is actually closer to 130HP and is probably pushing it a bit for the hull design. I have yet to catch a fish at 50+mph......
I run a 13.5 x 21 renegade on my 115. Best performance was with a 13 1/2 x 20 raker, though I didn't like the prop overall because it turned to much rpm and got more lift than I wanted. Know I was turning 6K rpm with the 20p and 5500 with the renegade.
My boat is a 18 venom jav, which is a different hull of course.
