i am going to look at a 1999 21 SS with a 225 Johnson HO. Could anyone that has or has had one give me some info on them. Also does anyone have any pictures of the layout and such that would'nt mind posting them.

Here are a couple pics of my old 2000 21SS Extreme. Was a great boat. And yes, it was a Ficht and I never had a problem with it for the six years I had it. I guess I was a lucky one from what I read!

I have a '99 with a 225 HO Johnson and I like it. It has a few little bugs but for the most part it's a great boat. One of the characteristics of the hull is that it leans to the left quite hard when coming on and off of plane. I had a problem with the Johnson idling so I took it to the dealer and was told that when idling for extended periods that I needed to trim the motor up until it was level. Other than those couple of things the boat is great.
my boat does roll left while getting up onto plane as well, just the way the hull was laid. never bothered me too much just a little something you get used to, awesome boat overall though
the good old stratos lean, my 201 does the same thing

The only problem with the lean on the 21ss, is that is just about the exact speed we cruise around at night. I got a crick in my neck from riding sideways. That was the only complaint I had with the boat. I've had 3 different 201's, and none of them did it anywhere near that bad. I had the 99 ho johnson, and it would fly, but didn't idle worth a darn, and loaded up with fuel bad, ever after card rebuilds.

was it really that bad to give you a crick in your neck? i guess i dont spend much time at that speed so i havent been through that yet. great boat overall though
ive owned a 2000 21ssextreme and fish 200 days a year for 10 years the only thing ive changed is i put a new 225ho etec on it and it now goes very high 70mp if that concerns you-other wise best boat ive ever owned and holds its value

do any of you guys have a owners manuel for thr 99 ss extreme??? i just bought mine and its hard to read the dash panel switches and timer control.... i know with time i prob would figure it out, just courious if there were any around..???

I have a friend with a 2001 SS Xtreme, and, he complains about the lean, and, not running very well. What setup do you guys have/recommend? (prop, jp setting, etc.) He has an 8" plate set at 3 3/8. Also, has 225 Ficht. TKU, Garry
how many batteries do you have-reason if your running a 36volt 101 trolling motor with 3 batteries plus your main battery because of the added weight i had to change prop size to correct the hole shot,also what kind of rpms and speed will change if you adjust your jack plate vs your prop.finally i have a 2001 ss extreme and just repowered with an 225 ho etec and no matter what i do ,because of the added hp and torque, with just myself in the boat it will lean and chinning at 65-75 mph. but a 9 yr old boat that does close to 78mph-enough said
