Got the old 1988 201 pro in a fight with a 2007 294 today on the lake . Top speed was 68.9 on the gps going down to dam .His top speed he said when we got back to the ramp was 70.5 gps . HE was running a 200 3 liter VMAX with a 25-p tempest plus and i was running my 2.5 200 with a 25-p tempest plus with all the boxes full and dry live wells and a 3/4 tank of gas . Minds start to chine walk around 65 gps but i just let it eat , he said has was walking also but i stay with him for a while before he walk me . I thank he needs to dial his motor in and some more seat time as i do also because the tempest plus is a beast over the old laser 2 prop with this big tank and now i learning to drive the boat all over . I think it has a litter more in it ,thinking about sending the prop to Mark to repitch to get some more rpms out of it, was only turning 5900 at the max , the motor can trun up to 6100 to 6200 rpm's before it stop's pulling and i have the oiler off .
