Carpet stains

Just bought a new 2008 201xl and the gray carpet seems to be staining easy. Do you all spray anything on the carpet to repel water, stains, etc. ? Any product recommendations?

I use the Turtle wax automotive carpet cleaner from walmart. Spray on the foam, work it in, wipe off the excess with a damp rag and/or vacuum off. Use a stiff brush to get the knapp up. I do a section at a time. You will have some sweat dripping off your forehead if you do the entire deck and cockpit.
