I have a 201 PRO XL Stratos, and am runing a 27P tempest plus. It is 04 boat with a 250 Yahama 2005. I am running about 64 fully loaded, but the boat does not seem to lift high enough out of the water. I am running a 5" jack plate with the prop shaft setting about i" under the boat. Am I running all that I am suppost to or can I change props to increase speed.
i have a 2005 201 with a 250 yamaha ox66 i run a 27 T1 3 inches below the pad i get 79 mph on gps hope this helps you Steve

Loaded that is a mid 70's boat...Are you reading speed from a GPS?..
Think you had a mistype there...What is the prop height? I am sure it is not i" below...You need it set at around 3" below as a starting point....
What rpms are you turning now?..
A 5" jackplate is a little small, but it should run way better than you are now...A set of 2" spacers will get you back close to where you need to be..
