need help with a schematic for the livewell on my 1999 Javelin Renegade 19

My manuel states a livewell schematic diagram was included with my owner's packet but I cannot locate the schematic. Just wondering if anyone has the livewell schematic for my boat and could send me a copy. My address

    Harrogate, TN. 37752

    any help would be appreciated.

I have all the paperwork that came with my boat when it was bought new. I don't recall a schematic for the live wells...are you having trouble? any questions feel free to ask.

When I turn on the livewell and leave it running it will overflow and run into the bottom of by boat. I shut it off and it will hold water until I move, it will then run all the water out. I think I may have a cable broke. My boat has Auto, Empty, Recirc settings on one knob and Recirc, Pump-out settings on another knob. I was fishing in Alabama a week ago and the livewell gave me a hard time. I have read my manuel and plan to go to my local lake and retry the settings but I think I've got a problem.

Our setup is very similar except I don't have the pump out feature. Pump out did not come standard so somebody ordered it with that option or added it on latter.

The livewell has on overflow in the top back corner on the drivers side of the livewell. On my set up the overflow is open at all times. If the water reaches the overflow it simply goes out the overflow back into the lake

Even though I don't have pump out I am somewhat familiar with how it works. If my memory is correct inside the livewell you will turn a knob to activate the pump out. When you turn that knob it engages the pump out and the water will not go out the overflow it. Instead the water is redirected to a discharge located on the side of the top cap of the boat. You then turn the pump on and pump water out of the livewell. Water will spray out the side of the boat when the pump out switch is active and the pump is on...If you have a selector switch inside your livewell turn it to the off/non active position and your overflow should work.

I have the 3 position lever located low on the drivers side near the cup holder. Auto /Empty/Recirculate. Empty is straight up and down. In that position the livewell will not hold water. It may fill up an inch or two while you are sitting still but it will be sucked out as soon as you get on plane and moving.

Without going and looking at my boat I cant remember the name of the front and back setting. I know one is Recirculate and one is Auto but which is in the front and which is in the back I cant remember...if my selector switch is thrown to the front of the boat I want to "think" it is Recirculate because in that setting my livewell holds water and never lets it go out. You have two pumps one is fill and one is recirculate. When using the recirculate pump you are simply recirculating the water you have inside the livewell. You can also use the fill pump. When the water gets to the top of the livewell it goes out the overflow (remember I don't have pump out so my overflow is always active) if you use the fill pump while your selector switch is in the recirculate position make sure your pump out is set so water can go out your overflow.

When in the Auto setting the livewell will hold water. It has a flap inside the plumbing located just behind the screen in the bottom of the livewell. The flap will open and let water gravity flow in but not back out. It will only fill to the water line that the boat is setting in so you have to turn on the fill switch to fill it all the way up. When the boat is on plane the flap is suppose to close preventing water from going out the bottom drain.

I do not like the Auto feature. On my boat the flap does not work all the time. I can have a limit in the livewell and get the boat up on plane and when I make my next stop I can hear fish flopping around in a dry livewell therefore I never use Auto.

Make sure your pump out selector switch inside the livewell is set so water can go out the overflow. The only time I would ever use pump out is when I am getting water for a bag to put fish in. I leave my livewell on empty unless I put fish in them. Then I select the forward position, I use the fill and recirculate pump. I am constantly turning over water and adding new at the same time...Sorry for such a long reply

Thanks for the information. I'm going to work with the switches ( they are set up like yours, down on the side, just in front of the drivers seat) and see if I can get them worked out, if not I may need to take it to my marine dealer.

I see that you live in Columbia, Ky., I am from Whitesburg, Ky. live just south of Middlesboro, Ky. now. Transfered here about 25yrs. ago because of all the lakes available. I live near Norris lake. Cherokee, Douglas, Fort Lauden/Tellico and Watts Bar are fairly close. I try to get up to Dale Hollow a couple time a year. Thanks again, just wanted to say hello when I noticed you live in Ky.
