Setup help please!

I just bought my first bass boat and have a few questions about getting it set up properly. Its a 1999 Javelin Renegade 18DC with a 150hp Evinrude Ficht. I want to put a 5 1/2 inch manual jackplate on, and a Hot Foot and steering wheel trim controls. I am wondering if I am going to have to change out the steering cables so they will reach the jackplate, they are just the standard cables. Also is there any instructions to properly instal the Hot Foot and blinker trim? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Most Factory cables are long enough to except a 6 inch plate, but will a tight fit. Anything bigger you will need to buy longer cables.

The blinker trim is a very easy install. The kit bolts right up and the wiring colors in the instructions are correct. The hotfoot can be aggrivating when its time to install the cable but its very doable. I just did the same to my venom 18 and I got a 16 foot throttle cable for mine. I suggest that and you can coil the excess under the drivers rear storage box. My boat nearly just like yours with the same parts and a 25 renegade will run over 70 mph on gps at 6000 rpms. You will love it when you are done. Good luck man.
