I, too, have a prop question

I am not very intelligent when it comes to props.

I have a 1995 201 with a 200 Vindicator.
Right now it will run in the lower 60's with a Renegade 4 blade 13 1/2 x 25. My tach is currently out of order.

Is this a good combination?

A friend of mine had a couple of props he wants to get rid of but his motor is a Merc. Can I get a hub kit and make one of them work with my Evinrude?

That should be the ticket for your boat. I would think you speed should be in the mid 60,s easy but with your tach not working there is no way to tell for sure what you are doing. When changing the setup you are going to need a accurate tach and water pressure gauge

Get an OMC flo-torq hub kit and test a 25 tempest plus.

Ballistic 25P 4 blade
AND
Power Tech 25P 4 blade for sale.

Would either of these be a good spare?

I have to do something. My current prop has a little damage and probably nees to be changed out

I do know I'm about 2 1/2 inches below pad and have excellent water pressure.
