Who should Repair Stratos 21 SS Extreme

As some of you know my 1999 21 SS Extreme caught fire and was damaged. The RH console was damaged and all the plastics melted. The gel coat has blisters, the Sea Star steering is damaged, wire harness damaged, all gauges are damaged. The VIEW system has damage along with the LMS 160. All switches and panel are damaged. The LH console has some melting and damage. I don't think the gel coat has any damage. The hot foot and control cable have damage. I'm waiting for the insurance adjuster to give me the settlement. I really want this repaired. I'm located NW of San Antonio TX. Does Stratos have the parts available or am I out of luck. I'm sure it can be fixed if the parts are available. Anybody have anybody they would reccommend? Thanks

Sorry to hear about your boat.

This may not even be a possibility, but C&O, waaaaaaaaaay over in TN has all the parts you need plus they do insurance work for fiberglass repairs. They work with all major insurance companies. They're really good.

They've got trailers of OEM Stratos parts for older stratos boats (e.g. entire injection molded consoles, switches, panels, original stickers, wheels, windshields etc.). That may not be anything in reason for you, but I wanted to throw that out in case you had no other option for OEM parts. http://www.candomarine.com/Page407.htm

You're pretty much out of luck with the VIEW system. That is no longer manufactured and all backstock is long gone (unless you just happen to luck up on one somewhere).

The rest can be fixed. But I'd wait and see what they offer you. If it's to total it and the price is good, take it and get you something new. Where to have yours fixed is up to you. C&O can make it like new but are a long way from you.

Thanks for the reply guys. Does Stratos have OEM parts for a 1999 boats. I would like to replace with new, but I'm betting parts are hard to find new or used. I need to call C & O once I talked to my insurance folks. I don't know what I'm going to do about the VIEW system. Thanks

C&O will have most everything you would need to put it back like new. They purchased trailer load upon trailer load of OEM parts from Stratos over the years. They are one of the best fiberglass shops in the country also so you would be in good hands.

C&O should have everything you need. Best would be to just get it to them but I know thats a long drive

I have a 2005 201 and removed my passenger console (leftover holes from screws, etc) and took my boat in for glass work. You can't even tell there was ever any holes there. The crew at C&O know fiberglass!! You can't go wrong with them..
