I replaced my carpeted plywood wheel skirts on my trailer with plastic from MM

Poly Fab Plastics sold me what I needed at a great price and fast shipping.

Tires were rubbing on the warped plywood fender skirts... I replaced them with plastic.

Great idea! So did you or are you going to carpet them? If not, do you think the plastic will leave black scuffs on your boat?

No carpet, It's not supposed to mark up the boat. I left it just a touch higher than the carpeted wood that was on there. The carpet was worn off the top of my wood ones from the boat drifting over the fenders. I do not want my boat hitting the SS fenders.

    Cool!

Let us know how it holds up. That definitely looks like a worry free modification.

Mike I'm thinking of doing the same thing only draw back I could think of was the sun and heat warping the plastic. May wanna put a couple of extra fasteners on there. Let me know whether it warps this summer.

Worked great today. I launched and loaded near 10 times testing props and bumped the plastic many times w/o any marks.

$36 shipped to my door. Saved me from buying wood, wood protector, carpet and carpet glue.

That's a great idea. I really need to replace the backer on my tandems, just might have to try this.

Were they pre-cut or did you have to cut them to fit your fender?

    Thanks!

They will cut them to your requested size for a cost. It was easy for me to do them myself and save some money.

Just checking out there website. What was the name of the material you used on your finder skirt guides? Was it a delrin type product?
