Shouldn't be a warranty issue. Depending on motor size it may make your boat plane slower and knock a MPH or two off top end. Other than that I don't see any issues.

Huge weight difference between the two. You will want Power poles on a tin rig.

Boat builders are beginning to state what brand and how many they will allow within warranty.

A quick phone call to the boat manufacturer should clarify any warranty issues.

I believe the 18 TX Specs for a single Power Pole Starboard side only. I have a call in to clarify.

    PM Sent as well.

I'd be interested in seeing this in writing from the manufacturer, seems like something they'd have a hard time controlling. When motor's can vary greatly in horsepower and each brand can vary greatly in weight per model alone, a very small amount of shallow anchor weight is not the camel breaking straw.

I find this laughable and if a boat manufacturer told me I had to buy XYZ in order to maintain warranty, I smell a losing court case for them and a brand that I would heavily advertise against.

    Just saying. Lol

Hydrilla Gear is correct some manufacturers do indeed tell you what you can and can not have in order not to void the transom warranty. Have run up against it several times with the Ranger aluminum series and im sure Triton is the same. Hell Mercury will void your warranty with a sandwich mount bracket.. so they actually do state you can only go with xyz. You might win the court case in the end but im guessing there banking on you not wanting to spend triple the cost of the boat or more to argue the point in court.

I don't doubt what Rich says, it is just a bit annoying for lack of a better term given as I said, the wide ranges of weights just in available motor options.

I understand the Mercury note of sandwich brackets due to possible compromising of the bolts due to improper mounting, torque issues and similar.

However, when it comes to boat manufacturers not building their product to meet the current market demands, read in 2 shallow water anchors and similar, they'd be more proactive in beefing up their product offering versus spelling out which product meets their warranty.

I wouldn't buy one of those particular boats as a result.
