where is transducer in a 258?

I have a 258 with an Lowrance X22A in it. I want to replace it, but I am curious where the transducer is located. I do not see it on the exterior of the transom. The unit works, but I am wanting to upgrade. Thanks for your time.

Look inside your rear hatch where the gas tank and batteries are. You will likely see a black "puck" glued to the fbottom near the bilge/livewell pumps. If your unit has a temperature reading, you might also find a wire mounted to the transom on the outside that ends with a temperature sensor. Also, depending on the new unit you select, you might be able to use the existing transducer. Lowrance.com has a compatibility guide or you could call their customer service line. Good luck!
