Just bought an '06 201XL...LOVE IT!! It has the 300 hp Yammie and the 27p Yamaha Vmax prop. Has anyone w/ a similar set-up found better prop options?

Is that boat rated for a 300?

Think '06 was the last year with the special Decal allowing that monster.![]()
29 T-1 works well for us.
What kinda speeds on that puppy!
They'll generally do 80...some are 82. Most are 80 ish.

Isn't the 201evo turning that with a 250 or close?

From what I have read yes but the Evo seems to be built on a new platform. Don't think its fair to compare the two![]()
The stock 300 is only 2 mph or so faster than the 250. It takes the Hydro Tec treatment to bring it to life.
Also, we're comparing the old 201 to the new Evo.......the Evo is a tad faster and bigger than the old 201 classic.
Which phase kit would give me the most bang for the buck, I or II? The phase III is a bit expensive.
2 on a budget. We do a lot of 1 1/2's......the Stratos' don't need the solid mounts.
Yeah I though that boat would smoke!!! my buddy I fish tournaments with has that same boat only with a evinrude 225 HO and he can run 72-73
