I have been looking at this boat to purchase. I dont know anything about that model. I have heard some say it was a bad design and stay away from it. How are these boats? How do they handle rough water and are they difficult to drive?

2 totally different boats. There was actually no problem on the 21's. The 20's were the problem children.
The 20 owners got a rehull or a 21 ss to replace the boat. The rehull 20's are very good boats....as are the 21's. The negative press has devalued them somewhat....but the make a great boat with loads of room and options for 15k ish. One of the best bargains on the water.
What's the chance of a third owner getting a 2000 20SS rehulled

Call Stratos Customer Service at 615-494-2084 and have your serial number handy. You being owner 3 means it may have been done already. The sn# will tell.
As bad as it leans before trimming up, I hope not.

My 22 SS leans a little Tim but I put a SE Sport 300 hydro foil on and boy did it help , the best 60 Dollars I spent !!!
Leaning was not an issue on the 20 for replacement.
What was the issue on the 20? I really can't find anything I would call a problem on mine.

It had a problem of swapping ends at full speed........the answer was a rehull to a 20 XL type hull.
I have a 21 extreme, i love it, very stable, and excellent in rough water.
