    seat tearing

Are seats tearing aroung the stitching from the lettering covered by warrenty on on a "07? It's not a big hole, but it's going to continually get bigger. I know some things are made to wear and tear, but it's only one year old. I love my boat, but there are few things that make me question the craftsmanship on it. I've already had to put carpet on the trailer bunks. My rub rail had popped off a couple of times. The little plastic edging on the bottom of the console keeps coming off as well as the rubber material that makes the buffer between the carpet and the fiberglass on the front deck. Maybe I'm just expecting too much; I've never bought a brand new boat before, but the only reason brand new was not to have any haedaches.

Maybe seeing your dealer to handle your issues before posting on the web would be the way to go.

    Re: seat tearing (Todd Morgan)

I was just seeing if anybody has knowldege of this kind of things covered under being covered by warrenty or not, before I drag it to the dealer. This is not a slam on Startos, like I said I love my boat, I'm just trrying to see if other people have had simialr problems, and if it is to be expected. I kind of thought this was the idea behind this forum.

It damn sure reads like a slam.

The boards are a good source of info....where warranty items are concerned the dealer is a much better source. No one on the board is going to fix your boat.

Sorry you feel that way, but if I were slamming something you'd know it. Taking my boat to the dealer isn't the most convienant thing to do. The responses I was looking for were "yes thers items should be covered by your warrenty. Take it to the dealer and only be satisfied when everythig is fixed" or " probably not, the things your writing about are cosmetic and are not expected to stay in perfect condition" Like I said this is my first brand new boat.

    Yeah...the first 20 words were a question.......

    The rest weren't.

I didn't take it as a slam either... Just saying some stuff.

My partner is disappointed his glove box door won't stay closed on his '06 201. He still loves the boat though..as do I. Sometimes things happen

This may be over simplified......but why not have them addressed?

Out of all the companies we've ever represented, no one is better at fixing issues than Stratos.

It looks counter productive to me to moan instead of using that energy to contact the dealer or customer service to take care of it.

We fix more boats from other dealers than we do our own....the door is always open. Now whine some more or get it fixed.

This may be over simplified but........Todd Morgan you are a D%&KH&@D !!!!!!

    1) Asking questions and getting help with boat problems is what this website is
    mostly about.
    2) If he wanted to "bash" his Stratos boat and or his dealer that is his right as a
boat owner and as member of this website.
    3) I have and have had some of the same issues with my "07" 294 and my
dealership. If you and your dealership are so good come to Birmingham,
pickup my boat, take it to C & O, fix it and bring it back to me in a timely
    manner.
    4) Chances are his next new boat may not be a Stratos because of you and Your

Bama - you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but since you don't have a dog in this fight, butt out...

Todd is correct - these are dealer issues... the first place you need to be is at the dealer instead of just bitching about the bad... If i was the dealer, I'd be pissed that I didn't even get the chance to fix it without complaints coming in off of the 'net.. I realize that the dealer isn't named, but one can probably figure it out...

C and O (especially Todd) is an invaluable part of the BBC... Their Customer service is unreal, so I'm inclined to go with his opinion... If you have a problem, get off your butt and get it to your dealer before you post another rant...
