i have a 98 stratos 201 pe with a johnson venom 200.. what type of prop should i be running? it has a 3 blade now(raker 14 1/2 X 24) should i have a 4 blade? I also noticed today that when i make a sharp left hand turn it seems real funny(weak). This boat is new to me... Running about 5600 rpm's at 58-60mph

the raker should be pretty good,sound like it is falling off the pad in the turn,mine was terrible about that on my 295,had it re worked and it made a complete difference in how it handles,had to drop the motor to turn now it just stays up and runs.holeshot is much better,little blow out.i would think you should see 67 or so instead of of 60 with that set up..
i had too until i got my prop re worked,then i actually went a little higher than originally was.maybe you should run this by todd in the set up board or the prop board for mark,they may know of better props all together,i was just happy with my raker after the $150 re do...,i had to trim it under so the bow would drop before a sharp turn,it would drop if i didn't and make a hard left unexpected cut then would have to go 200yds before it would be back to full lift and running..
